'Saiyaara' has broken the record for earning the highest opening day, with ₹21.25 crore in box office collection, for a love story in Indian cinema history, reported Hindustan Times. Further, it also set record for having biggest opening day ever for a debutant-led film. The record previously belonged to 'Dhadak'. The film also marked career-best opening for director Mohit Suri.
