The Election Commission found that 36.86 lakh out of the 7.9 crore registered voters in Bihar are missing from official records during its ongoing Special Intensive Revision. It stated 12.71 lakh are probably deceased, 18.16 lakh have shifted permanently, while 6,978 remain untraceable. Elections are likely to be held in the state around October and November.
