A 55-year-old woman died after undergoing bariatric surgery recently at a private hospital in UP's Meerut, with her family filing police complaint against doctors, reports said. The deceased, identified as Rajni Gupta, weighed 123 kg and was told she'd lose 30 kg after the surgery. However, she passed away after a leak in her abdomen led to fatal infection.
