Bhaskar Belchapada, 69, was arrested on Tuesday for his role in the ₹12-crore gold heist at a co-operative bank in Karnataka's Kotekar. A repeat offender, he was previously held in 2022 for a robbery plot. His associate Mohammed Nazir was also arrested. Three other suspects were caught earlier, leading to the recovery of 18.5 kg of stolen gold.
