India's top 3000 metre steeplechase runner Avinash Sable may be forced to withdraw from upcoming World Athletics Championships in Tokyo following suspected anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury sustained during Monaco Diamond League event. He fell during race after a tangle at water jump with France’s Nicolas-Marie Daru. Post-fall, he was visibly in discomfort, clutching back of his right knee.
