Researchers have trained bumblebees to learn and respond to simple Morse code, a feat only seen in humans. Bees were trained to associate a long flash, or "dash", with bitterness and a short flash, or "dot", with a sugar reward in specially constructed mazes. When put to test, they chose the right flashing signal without depending on position or scent.
