Congress leader Rahul Gandhi called the Bihar results surprising, adding, "We could not achieve victory in an election that was not fair from the very beginning." He said Congress and I.N.D.I.A bloc partners will review the results and make efforts to "save democracy". Congress won merely six seats out of the 61 seats it contested.
