BJP leader Satish Kumar Yadav who was leading for a while against RJD's Tejashwi Yadav in Madhopur constituency, had 15 years ago defeated RJD chief Lalu Yadav's wife, Rabri Devi in the same constituency by over 13,000 votes. Satish Kumar had started his political career with the RJD and switched to JD(U) in 2005. He then joined BJP in 2015.
