BJP's Anand Mishra emerged victorious in Bihar's Buxar assembly constituency by a huge margin of 28,353 votes. He defeated Congress' Sanjay Kumar Tiwari, alias Munna Tiwari, who has been the MLA since 2015. Mishra, an ex-IPS officer, was earlier a part of Jan Suraaj and served briefly as its Youth Wing President. He fought the 2024 Lok Sabha elections independently.
