Centre has issued an updated advisory to state and UT governments on preparedness to deal with expected rise of respiratory and heart diseases linked to pollution. It asked states to ensure chest clinics in government health facilities and medical colleges. These clinics will screen patients for risk factors, confirm diagnosis, provide treatment and long-term care, the advisory said.
