Chinese and Japanese boats faced off near geopolitically sensitive islands in East China Sea. China said a Japanese fishing vessel had illegally entered waters of Diaoyu Islands. Japan said it intercepted and expelled two Chinese Coast Guard ships as they approached fishing vessel. This comes amid feud after Japan said China's attack on Taiwan could get military response from it.
