DRDO successfully conducted a rocket-sled test of a fighter aircraft escape system at the speed of 800 km/h. A video showed the test, where a dummy pilot was seen safely propelling out of the cockpit, simulating conditions when a fighter jet encounters a life-threatening situation. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO and IAF for the test.
