The European Union (EU) has decided to raise its digital travel permit fee to 20 euro, nearly triple the originally planned amount. The change to the upcoming ETIAS travel permit for visa-exempt nationals is part of the EU's plan to raise more funds for defence and agriculture. The ETIAS regulation originally envisaged a fee of 7 euro.
