Days after sanctioning the Rajpura-Mohali railway link, the Railway Ministry has cleared another key project, the 25.72-km-long Ferozepur-Patti rail line. A total budget of ₹764 crore, including ₹165 crore for land acquisition, has been approved for the project. Officials said the Punjab Chief Secretary has been informed about the sanction and asked to initiate the land acquisition process.
