Chandrashekhar Pusalkar, the grandson of filmmaker Dadasaheb Phalke, refused to attend the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival, accusing it of misusing Phalke's name and misleading people. He said, "There are two FIRs against them. How can they hold event after all that has happened? I'll not attend any Dadasaheb Phalke Awards event, except the one organised by the government."
