Green buildings in India cut 53 million tonnes of carbon annually, saving water and energy, data from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) showed. Mumbai led with 516 certified structures, followed by Hyderabad and Pune. Eco-friendly designs across offices, airports, and museums showed how sustainable architecture can reduce emissions, conserve resources, and promote a greener urban future.
