Elon Musk said he is receiving "a lot of flak" and "death threats" because of his cost-cutting work at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). "But if we don't do this, America will go bankrupt," he said, adding, "We simply cannot sustain, as a country, $2 trillion deficits." Musk was speaking at US President Donald Trump's first cabinet meeting.
