Director Mohit Suri revealed how he decided to cast debutant Ahaan Panday as male lead for 'Saiyaara'. Suri met Ahaan and initially didn't feel he fit the role. However, breakthrough came during a night out after the audition. He said, "The moment he thought audition was over, he let his guard down...I finally saw the spark I'd been looking for."
