Ahead of Amarnath Yatra, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti said, "I told...locals of Pahalgam to protect the Amarnath Yatra...After that...people's trust will be reinstated and tourism will begin again." Referring to Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed, she added, "After the incident, the situation changed." She said that tourism halted suddenly, leaving thousands in "terrible condition".
