India is considering increasing ethanol blending in petrol beyond 20 percent, with a NITI Aayog committee evaluating the plan. Petroleum Minister Hardeep S. Puri stated that the country has already achieved 19.6 percent blending. He also confirmed that all fossil fuel production companies will achieve net zero by 2045 despite developmental challenges.
