The Indian Navy will receive its first batch of four Rafale-M fighter jets in 2029, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi announced ahead of Navy Day 2025. India signed a ₹64,000-crore deal in April for 26 Rafale-M jets, enabling both INS Vikrant and INS Vikramaditya to operate advanced fighters. The Rafale-Ms will replace ageing MiG-29Ks.
