The Ministry of Railways plans to set up Mega Coaching Terminals in 20 high-demand cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad, to boost train-handling capacity, especially during peak travel seasons. Ahmedabad's Vatva terminal will add 10 pit lines, increasing trains originating from 45 to nearly 150, alongside three new platforms and improved connectivity.
