IndiGo parent InterGlobe Aviation received a ₹117.52 crore penalty notice from Joint Commissioner of Central Tax & Central Excise, Kochi Commissionerate. The department has denied input tax credit (ITC) availed by the company and has issued a demand order along with a penalty. "The order passed by the authorities is erroneous…will contest the same before the appropriate authority," company said.
