Japan is telling its companies that "you are on your own" if they needed to evacuate staff from Taiwan in case of a Chinese invasion, reported Financial Times. FDI by Japanese companies, traditionally Taiwan's third-largest source, fell 27% in 2024. Earlier, US reportedly sought clarity from Japan and Australia over roles in case of a clash with China over Taiwan.
