The MMRDA is planning to construct a six-lane bridge connecting Thane and Bhiwandi, which will significantly boost regional connectivity. The new bridge will cut travel time drastically, from the current 45 minutes to just a 7-minute commute. It will be constructed across the Vasai creek and link Kolshet in Thane with Kalher in Bhiwandi.
