Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said India is a secular country where minorities are the safest. "Minorities enjoy full freedom and protection because of the Hindu majority," he told PTI. Rijiju, who is from a minority community himself, said no minority wants to leave India and called claims of minority persecution a false campaign by the Left and Congress.
