Panchayats in Madhya Pradesh can now undertake projects worth up to ₹25 lakh, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Tuesday. He also announced that each Panchayat representative will receive ₹50,000 for development activities and all Panchayats with populations above 5,000 will receive two community halls. A state-level conference of Panchayat representatives will be organised.
