Japan’s largest bank, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), has partnered with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT technology into its upcoming digital lending subsidiary launching next year. The bank plans to use AI chat tools for account openings and customer support, along with financial advisory features. The move mirrors similar OpenAI tie-ups by Santander and OakNorth in Europe.
