Indian opener Shafali Verma's superb 87-run innings in the Women's World Cup final against South Africa in Navi Mumbai on Sunday brought pride and happiness to her native district, Rohtak. Shafali, who was originally not in India's world Cup squad, earned her place as a replacement for another opener Pratika Rawal, who suffered injuries.
