The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has suspended four employees for allegedly not adhering to its religious guidelines while working at the Venkateswara temple. Officials said they "acted irresponsibly while performing their duties as employees of a Hindu religious organisation". In May, TTD had announced that non-Hindus would be shifted to other departments or given voluntary retirement option.
