Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), a subsidary of Tata Power, will set up a 30MW/120MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for NHPC Limited in Kerala, valued at ₹110 crore. This project, won through international bidding, aims to optimise energy for KSEBL. TPREL will develop and lease the BESS for 12 years, facilitating grid stability and integrating renewable energy in Kerala.
