Union Cabinet cleared 14 amendments to Waqf (Amendment) Bill proposed by Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC), said reports quoting sources. The opposition members in JPC suggested 44 amendments which were rejected by the panel, while out of the 23 recommendations by NDA members, 14 were accepted, reports added. The amended bill will now likely be tabled on March 10.
