Varanasi was the largest recipient district in Uttar Pradesh for CSR funds in FY 2023-24 which received ₹221.95 crore from 169 companies in the financial year. The top three sectors of focus for CSR initiatives in Varanasi were Health, Education, and Environment, which received ₹87.25 crore, ₹84.98 crore, and ₹40.22 crore, respectively.
