Cameras captured apartments rattling as seven strong earthquakes hit the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky region in Russia, all near a major fault where the Pacific and North American tectonic plates collide. After several powerful aftershocks, the tsunami threat was lifted by authorities. The earthquakes were of magnitudes 7.4, 6.7, 6.7, 6.6, 5.7, 5.2 and 5.0, as per USGS.
