Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson has been hospitalised after being diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a rare degenerative brain disorder that affects balance, vision, speech, and movement. Doctors say the condition is often misdiagnosed due to its Parkinson-like symptoms which include muscle stiffness and weakness, impaired balance and coordination and slow eye movements.
