Neha Narkhede, an engineer from Pune's PICT, created a $ 7.8 billion worth data streaming empire. Having done her master's from Georgia Tech, she went on to work for brands like Oracle and LinkedIn. She created the 'Apache Kafka' platform with Jay Kreps and Jun Rao with whom she later on built the multi-billion dollar Confluent.
