Ritam Mondal, 21, was a fourth-year mechanical engineering student at IIT Kharagpur. Originally from Kolkata, he had recently returned to campus after the summer break. Ritam attended classes regularly and showed no signs of distress. He was found hanging in his hotel room at Rajendra Prasad (RP) Hall on Friday. His sudden death has left the campus community shaken.
