Telangana High Court sought an explanation from state government on why IPS officers are being appointed to posts meant for IAS cadre. A writ petition filed by an advocate pointed out that three senior IPS officials- Shikha Goel, CV Anand and Stephen Ravindra- were appointed to posts held by IAS officers. Such postings violate statutory framework rules, the plea said.
