₹10000 banknote from 1935 put up for auction by Rashtrapati Bhavan
A replica of the ₹10,000 banknote featuring King George VI which was released in 1935 is among around 250 artefacts put up for auction by the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The note reissued in 1950 with the Ashoka Pillar was presented to former President Pranab Mukherjee in 2015. It has got 51 bids so far, with the highest bid of ₹7.5 lakh.
