'Don't sink' alert was triggered by Air India Boeing plane that dropped 900 ft
The Boeing 777 Air India aircraft, which experienced a 900-foot altitude loss mid-flight recently, had triggered a "Don't sink" alert, reports said. The alert is part of its Ground Proximity Warning System and it was triggered as the plane lost altitude shortly after takeoff. The incident occurred 38 hours after Ahmedabad plane crash and the plane's pilots have been "off-rostered".
