'iPhone City' exploits workers & exposes them to chemicals, claims report; Apple replies
Workers producing iPhone 17 series were forced to work 75-hour workweeks at Apple-supplier Foxconn's Zhengzhou facility, dubbed 'iPhone City' for its size, far higher than China's legal limit, a China Labor Watch probe found. Foxconn withheld workers' overtime pay and exposed them to hazardous chemicals without protective equipment. "Firmly committed to highest standards of labour," Apple replied.
