Amid reports of an outbreak of Human metapneumovirus (HMPV) in China and HMPV cases being confirmed in India, #lockdown started trending on X on Monday. At least five HMPV cases have been reported in India, with people fearing another global outbreak and subsequent lockdowns, similar to those imposed during coronavirus pandemic. Centre, however, said there was no need for worry.
