'Perfectly circular' mysterious sphere seen in Milky Way galaxy
Astrophysicist Miroslav Filipović of Western Sydney University accidentally discovered a mysterious sphere, which is likely a supernova remnant (SNR), deep in the Milky Way Galaxy. Named SNR Teleios, the Greek word for 'perfect', it is an expanding shell of gas and dust created by shockwaves from a massive stellar explosion. "Its perfectly circular shape is unusual," Filipović told Space.com.
