'Supreme Court doesn't deserve to be called 'supreme',' says Jamiat chief; sparks row
Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind chief Maulana Mahmood Madani has sparked a row over remarks on Supreme Court. He said, "After the verdict on Babri Masjid, triple talaq...it seems that courts are functioning under government's pressure." "Supreme Court is eligible to be called supreme only when it follows Constitution and upholds law. If not, it doesn't deserve to be called 'supreme'."
