Australia's Foreign Minister Penny Wong met India's EAM S Jaishankar and joked, "You've beaten us in both Men's and Women's Cricket." Penny said Jaishankar is the minister she has met most in her current role. Notably, Indian women's cricket team defeated Australia in 2025 Women's World Cup semifinal in October, and Men's team won T20I series against Australia in November.
