100s of Aadhaar cards found in pond amid voter revision in Bengal
Hundreds of Aadhaar cards were found abandoned in a pond in West Bengal's Burdwan district amid Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the state's electoral rolls. The sack was discovered during routine cleaning. BJP's West Bengal unit said these cards belong to 'Kanglus', referring to people of Bangladeshi origin or Bengali Muslims, adding that this is why SIR is "absolutely necessary".
