15-year study reveals what foods help delay dementia & heart disease
A 15-year study by Karolinska Institutet showed that a healthy diet helped delay the onset of cardiovascular disease and dementia, while a pro-inflammatory diet increased risk. The healthy diet focused on consuming vegetables, fruit, whole grains, nuts, legumes, unsaturated fats and reduced intake of sweets, red meat, processed meat and butter/margarine. The study was published in Nature Aging.
