Over 150 people across Karnataka collectively lost ₹1 crore in a scam in which cybercriminals used US President Donald Trump's name. Through an app named after Trump and AI-generated videos of Trump, scammers lured people by promising lucrative returns for their investment, besides work-from-home opportunities. Through the 'Trump Hotel Rental' app, scammers promised to double people's investments.
