22 universities declared fake by UGC; list released
UGC has declared 22 universities fake in its list for October 2025. The list includes 10 universities from Delhi, four from Uttar Pradesh, two each from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal, and one each from Maharashtra and Puducherry. The UGC said it has sent letters to State Governments to take appropriate action against the fake institutions.
