240-million-year-old reptile that looked like dinosaur discovered
A newly identified reptile named Tainrakuasuchus bellator has been found to resemble a dinosaur, though it was actually an early crocodile ancestor that lived 240 million years ago. Belonging to the Triassic predator group Pseudosuchia, it measured around 2.4 metres and weighed about 60 kilograms. The creature hunted with a long neck, quick movements and sharp recurved teeth.
